cronin1The Cronin Park (originally the Cronin Playstead) is located at the intersection of Alder, Poplar, and Basswood Streets. It was named for Private First Class Jeremiah W. Cronin. Pfc. Cronin was serving with the Army Air Corps when he lost his life in the South Pacific. He was the first member of St. Mary’s Parish to die in World War II.
