Gagnon Park (Lawrence, MA)

gagnonGagnon Park is located on lower Tower Hill at the intersection of Community Avenue and Providence Street. It is named in honor of Sargeant Joseph A. Gagnon, a member of the 332nd Field Artillery during World War II. He was wounded in France in 1944, but continued to serve in Europe until returning home October of 1945. Sgt. Gagnon received a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star, and a Good Conduct Medal.
