Construction of the French Church began in 1873 and finally dedicated in 1883. The increase in the size of the number of congregants made the building of a new church across Haverhill Street which was dedicated in 1906.
Here is an image inside the church for the last midnight mass at St. Anne’s. The church closed its doors in 1991. Both buildings still exist. The first St. Anne’s has a business in it. The second is still standing, but it is empty.

Where wouldI find the birth records of St. Ann’s Church—1914 era???
The records up to 1920 have been digitized by the Archdiocese of Boston and can be browsed at the American Ancestors website with a free account! (They can be searched online if you pay, but you can browse the images of the records for free, page by page.) If you look for “Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston Records, 1789-1920” it should come up, and scroll down the parish list for St. Anne (Lawrence).
