St. Patrick’s School (Lawrence, MA)

St. Patrick’s School for boys and girls was established in 1906. The first building was at the corner of Parker and Salem Streets. An annex was built in 1912. An extension was built in 1922. The instruction came from the Sisters of Charity of Halifax.
The High School for girls opened in the early thirties and closed in 1971.

Sometime after that the building used for the high school became the Salem Street School for the Lawrence Public School.
In 2006 St. Patrick’s became the only Catholic elementary school in Lawrence and the name was changed to the Lawrence Catholic Academy.
