The Woodland School was built in 1869 at the corner of Woodland and Pleasant Streets. It closed in 1881 and was later replaced at the corner of Storrow and Howard streets by the Storrow School in 1884. I believe the image above is of that school. It was rebuilt in 1931 at the spot where the Woodland School at the corner of Woodland and Pleasant streets. Charles S. Storrow was the engineer who built the Great Stone Dam. He was also the city’s first mayor. It is still in use as a school.
