Fargnoli Square (Lawrence, MA)

Albert Fargnoli Memorial Lawrence St. & Marion AveFargnoli Square is located at the intersection of Lawrence Street and Marion Avenue. It is named in honor of Private Albert A. Fargnoli, a Lawrence casualty of the World War II. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1941 and was then employed as a clerk at the Recreation Bowling Alley until his enlistment in 1943. While he was a tank operator with the Armored Division he was killed in action in France August 2, 1944. Fargnoli and Paul Bongiorno were honored when their respective street corners were dedicated on the same day in September of 1946.
