Bolis Square (Lawrence, MA)

bolis1Bolis Square is at the intersection of White and Elm Streets. It honors six brothers and one brother-in-law who served in the armed forces during Wold War II. All returned and only one, James, was wounded.
They were:
Albert Bolis US Navy Seaman 2nd Class
Henry Bolis US Navy
James Bolis US Army, received a Purple Heart
Shaffie Bolis US Army Airforce Private 1st Class
Frederick Bolis Army Corporal Technician
Thomas Bolis US Army Staff Sargeant, received the Legion of Merit
George Ross US Navy Seabees
