Tortora Square (Lawrence, MA)

TORTORA SquareTortora Square, at the intersection of Jackson and Methuen Streets, is named in honor of Private First Class Leopold Tortora. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1942. He enlisted in the Army in December of 1942. Pfc. Tortora died in the line of duty as a radio operator and gunner of the 306th Bomb Group.
