Ciofolo, Anthony

May Processional

The collection is composed of 60 photographs.  They include black and white and color photos of the Lawrence area.  Many of the photos are unidentified.  Others include pictures of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2 photos of the flood of 1936, a group of photos of the Water Tower at the Reservoir, pictures of the radio station WLAW studio, views of the May Processional (from Holy Rosary Church) probably from 1930s, aerials of the Malden Mills, and what appears to be snapshots of an early St. Patrick’s Day parade.

Pictures number 58 and 59 are schematic drawings of Everett Mills.  They are located in Misc. Box 2.  Image number 60 is a panorama photograph of the Ayer Mill.  It is on display in the Local History Room.

Anthony Ciofolo was a popular Lawrence photographer and owner of Anthony’s Studio on Parker Street in South Lawrence.
